Is there any issues with doing this? - 12.26.2006, 05:39 AM

Can I plug a fan in the "Batt" plug-in port on my stock receiver for my 18T without any long term issues? I plugged it in briefly and the fan started right up.
Thanks.

So long as the current draw of the fan and related servos does not exceed the capacity of the BEC of the receiver you will be fine.

Should work fine. Thats the way I run my fans. makes for easy disconection for maintnence and such.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

Yup. In the receivers I've opened up, the middle connection and ground are all directly paralleled on the circuit board.

Thanks guys. Anyone put a fan on their 18T? If so could you post a pic as to how you mounted it. I am actually trying to figure out how to mount it more so it hits the motor more than the esc. Temps on the controller are fine but the motor is getting a little hot.
Thanks.
