Building a gorillamaxx revo - 01.03.2007, 11:09 PM

I finally decided to build a full blown race revo, just waiting for rc monster Mike to have a stock for carbon fiber version kit, i have 2 highly modified emaxx racebomband extreme versions,i'mselling my extreme version, will sell my other rc stuff to fund my revo, what other suggestions for upgrading the kit? what is the best suspension to buy? is rpm good or should it be aluminum?,what other suggestion for making it the ultimate racing revo, i'v won 2nd and third places in our racing track so i can honestly say that i can drive.when will the slipperential for the revo coming out?sky is the limit for the budget.what is the best servo, i'm planning to get the 3pk with their new FASST module.has anyone tried it yet? thanks guys

Great to hear!

The rpm arms are the best out there, apart from aluminum but there is not need, IMO get front rpm arms with traxxas rear extended arms.

The best servo is the one in mikes store (115$, 333oz of torque, HITEC).

The slipperential for the revo is still in testing with mike, so it will probably be a good amount of months before it is out. (dont keep my word on it).

The problem with nitro's these days are that they arent brushless... LOL

I have beaten on my G2R for over a year and you don't need the CVD's, the G2R comes with dogbones for the center and the front and rear sliders are strong enough. You don't need the RPM arms imediately, the only times i broke an arm (stock), was when i did something stupid, but if you plan on hitting stuff regularly, invest in the rpm's. Tekno makes a set of rear arms for the revo with the same features as the extended rear arms, but supposed to be stronger

I have the tekno ext. rear arms here if you need them. Hopefully the CF G2rs come back in stock soon for you. I will try to remember to put the tekno arms in the store(I have LOTS of stuff not listed, so don't hesitate to ask if you can't find it). Basically, I can get or already have most things in the hobby (except Horizon/Losi parts). :)

The V2 slipperential is near the top of the list for me as well, so it should be just around the corner(though getting things into production once the prototypes are worked out is still time consuming). The RC-M/FLM 1/8 Revo diff cases should be available any day now as well, for those looking to seriously upgrade the Revo diffs. :)

as soon as you can take orders for the V2 slipperential and revo diff cases and diffs, I'll order enough for two and a G2R cf chassis (converting one of my Nitro revo's to CF G2R)

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...
