couple of questions - 01.25.2007, 09:36 AM

hey i was looking to get some new good looking shocks for my bl rusty and i have found some that gorillamaxx sais are just like ue and these are hella cheap! (looking for some hott looking shocks... like my g/f :005:

http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-OFNA-RAVAGER...QQcmdZViewItem

not really sure how they perform but if they stay low they will be mine in 13 hours!! will these fronts fit the rear or my rusty?
will the rear fit the rear and front fit the front or what? i could always buy the front and see if i should get the back or not. also would these maybe be too stiff for the rusty? i dont think it could but im not really sure

here are some other thoughts for shocks

Why not use traxxas bigbores? They are very nice shocks.

How many cells are you running? If its under 7 cells or 3s than there is no need for a UBEC.

The problem with nitro's these days are that they arent brushless... LOL

I'm running Ofna rear Super Shocks on the Rear of my Rustler. They fit with the use of my custom shock tower and putting the end of the shock in the furthest hole on the suspension arm. The upper mounting point is more towards the center than the stock shock towers have them.

Well, the rear shock of a Rusty is the same as a Maxx shock. So, if it fits a maxx it should fit the rear (but certain ones like Piggybacks and powerstrokes might not fit because they may be too large in diameter or the reservoir might get in the way).

Also, the Powerstrokes are going to hella stiff in your Rusty - those springs are stiff enough that only 1 is used per corner on a Maxx, so its about 2x stiffer than a Traxxas Red spring, and then some (since its stiffer than a stock maxx's suspension). I'd say its probably 3-4 times stiffer.

On a side note...Integy shocks tend to leak.
