Mamba'ed 18T vid - 01.08.2007, 05:02 PM

Haven't annoyed you folks with a video in a while, so here's one shot this weekend of my Mamba Comp X 18T with a 3S lipo.

I've only made the following changes to make it brushless power capable:

MIP CVD set
MIP Superdiff set
Shimmed the difs with the AE shim kit

That's it! Handles the load with no problem. Trouble free driveline. My big problem is the sudden deceleration from crashing!

On to the video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=UwFQf0YlSqk

Yeah, the flying is cool, but the landings are always bad with these mini-rockets..

I am still waiting for a dry large piece of road to test my hyperion 3S + Wraith 7K combo.. Downloading the movie as we speak..

Nope not Holland, out in Katy, TX. Was a beautiful day. I think my rear diff is slipping, which is why I'm not getting wheelies...either that or the rear tires are spinning. I'll have to rebuild the diff once it grenades!

Ya know it! The best pass is right at the end. I gotta be in the 50+ mph range.

Song is by Nickleback, title is "Hangnail"

Associated makes foamies, that help keep from wasting good off road tires. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...p?&I=LXJSU8&P=

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

thanks seebus....i was reading in a mag that this dude hit 70+ mph in his 18t, it was soo fast that he used lead wheights to ceep the thing down...

like crjr said the foam tires are good, i read up that if you C.A the sidewalls it will last a tad long (super glue them)

Yup, this thing is crazy insane fast...just wish I had the common sense to ducttape the inside of my tires before I glued 'em! Pizza cutter wheels make it real squirrelly to control. Foamies might just be the ticket. CAing the sides sounds like a great idea. I'll have to give that a shot.
