Ultra Comp Conversion - 03.03.2007, 10:57 AM

I have the chassis cleaned out that i am going to use but I am having a problem with play in the center diff it moves around back and forth and I need a way to solve that and what is a good motor for a buggy that will give me some speed cause i Already know i want the quark 125 and 6s lipo... Also let me see some pics of some interior chassis pics on converted buggies.. I saw a guy get the Emaxx motor plate and cut it but im not sure how good that would work

6S makes no sense in a buggy IMO, another thing is that the quark 125 isn't capable for 6S, well, they say it is, but it will stutter and most likely even die. the play in the diff can be elliminated by using shimms. for 5S (makes more sense on a buggy) the quark is suitable.

Just do a search for buggy, and several projects will pop up.

I agree with Serum, 6S in a buggy would be just too much. How fast do you want to go. If speed is what you're after, maybe a buggy isn't the proper host for the conversion.

I've done two buggies in the last month or so and we're running a mamba max in each, one with an 8XL and the other with a 7XL. They are plenty fast for the track or bashing. The speed difference between the two are negligible with the 8XL geared 16/46 and the 7XL geared 14/46.

If you do choose to go with the 5S, then maybe a 9XL or maybe even an 8XL would be in order. An 8XL on 5S would be stupid fast for a buggy.
