Well,

I wanted to get another B4 and use 4s 4900mah flightpowers with a 1930/5.
But then I figured out that it's only gonna be speed with no control and lots of trouble.

Then, I thought I should get a highend touring sedan and put in a TrakPower with a 1920/4, but then I thought I can just put that setup in my old touring car since I really don't race.

Then I thought that I can modify my current rc10l3 with 6s and a 14 turn 1920 for CRAAAZY speeds, but then I figured out that most streets are full of bumps and small stones that would cripple the thing from performing to it's optimum level.

Then I thought about a 1/8 onroad machine like a Mugen MRX or Kyosho Evolva and convert it to brushless, but that is gonna be as troublesome as the 1/10th small brothers.

So, what do you guys recommend for a tough faaast, stable rig?

I think a highend 4wd 1/10 buggy like the Tamiya TRF501X or the Yokomo MR4-BX would be nice, but both uses 3x3 pack configuration and it would make it impossible to use normal lipo packs. They're belt driven, which makes it even worse.

answer is quite simple..

Serpent, or an evolva. i don't see why it would be trouble like a 1/10th. they are made for speeds, and stick to the road like gum.. (only 60mph gum)

I thought you're gonna recommend a 1/8 buggy. And this is what I'm really pointing at.

But, which are the best overall? disregarding the price.

I already have a supermaxx and it's almost like a truggy( the only differences are the diffs( truggies' diffs are tougher) and sway bars).
Buggies( 1/10th electric) have always been my favourite, but their designs are not as good as they were in the past.
I want to try 1/8 buggies since I can use very big motors in them with lots of lipos without sacrificing handling.

I think Mugen, Kyosho, Losi, Associated, Ofna and O'Donnel have the best overall.

I like Japanese designs, though. I'll skip Losi, O'Donnel, OFNA and AE. Only Kyosho and Mugen are left.....

You guys know of other companies who have some great buggies?

So sorry for being a bit intricate.

Personally, I think the best buggy is probably the Team Magic M1. I don't know about converting one though...The next best thing is definately the Mugen Seiki MBX5 Pro Spec.

Why not the new HotBodies 4wd 1/10 ST? That sounds like it would be an awesome project. It handles well and all, its 4wd so its controllable, and its not small enough to be affect by bumps too much. You can even drive it on road.

the HB 1/10 buggy 4wd seems to have a miniture center diff.

Yea, I believe the ST has a center slipper and they put a center diff in the buggy.

HB is a branch of HPI and for as far as I know, most of their products are made in Taiwan, right?

Also, what is the maxximum number of lipo cells the chassis of the ST can hold?
