E-Maxx Body Posts???? -
04.03.2007, 01:26 PM
Anyone know where I can get the stock plastic round body posts from for my e-maxx? I cant seem to find them anywhere. No place has em even listed any more, and if they do they are out of stock. Any sugestions for non-aluminum aftermarket posts that would work and be semi durable?
I got some of the RcRaven posts, but they are so weak it ridiculous. They snap like twigs. The stock ones lasted me forever, then when they needed to be replaced I got the RcRaven cuz I couldn't find the stock ones anywhere. I just want to find my self a couple sets of the old round Traxxas body posts. All anyone has is the H shaped 3.3 posts. My UE Knuckelhead towers need the round posts.
I can;t even believe I'm actually posting this, but... I cant believe its this hard to find this stupid little part.
Thanks Guys.

seems traxxas discontinued the round posts in favor of the new square posts. i too run the racerX towers and have been searching for the round posts... some big fleabay stores said they could no longer get the round ones from traxxas.
i have 2 new full shock tower/body post sets in the bag (OEM parts i bought off fleabay) if you're interested. i finally broke down and measured/drilled holes on the nylon posts that came with the knuckleheads. they seem pretty solid, so i'll probably just sell the stock round towers/body posts now.

Thanks for the offer Clod. But I already found some at killerhobbies.com They had 2 sets left on clearance 40% off so I bought them. I should be set. The first set lasted me a year and a half so I expect I should be good for a while now. Hold on to em for 3 months and you will probably be able to get 10-12 bucks a set for the $5 items. There will be all of the guys like me that would have been willing to pay.

Doesn't RPM sell them?
Proline offers the extended ones for use with SUV style bodies.

Boiling them might work. I'm surprised they shattered on you.

I would love it if FLM made there towers compatable with the 3.3 body post. That would be kickass...
