Tekno A arms and CVds

I recently broke or snapped my right rear driveshaft with my Neu 1515 1Y ,Do you guys have tried putting a cvd with the tekno A arms?They said that it is not advisable bec, it may pop out.Ay tohughts on these? thanks

I would just replace it again. Im not shure on the cvds though..

Yea, no CVD. Its about like running them with RPM arms. A BIG no-no.

aah, whaaaaaaaaat? I ordered RPM arms for my maxx, and I already have some brand new MIP shiny CVD's. Why does it pop out? From flex?

I usually try and get the joint as far in the cups as I can with it binding or anything. I don't see how the force on the arms can flex enough to pop them out? :032: :032:

I'm hearing different stories. Some have got great succes with cvd's and the RPM arms, while others have got issues.

What was your problem with them squee? i was planning on using UE cvd's with the RPM arms.

The RPM arms flex causing them to pop out. I bent one on my Revo like that just from a hard corner on pavement...I thought it wouldn't be a problem since the Revo arms are more triangulated than the Maxx arms. But...I guess not. If it flexed enough with a Revo arm, think about with a Maxx arm...

What if you lowered the truck enough for the bone to be far in the cup? So if there was flex then it wouldn't be a problem.

The truck was sitting with the arms level...If not lower..

I was thinking of putting back my original arms and get the cvds

I have thought about this, it really only makes sense if you landed really hard, and the arms flexed enough to extend that angle of the cvd to the point where is would come out if it weren't far enough into the drive cup.

Swallow it. :005: It has happened to a couple other people on here, just from going around a hard turn. There one in particular, but I can't remember his name. It was a Maxx and he had UE 6mm CVD's and on ocassion, every time he went around a certain turn, it would flex enough and he would end up bending a CVD.

Which way do you think they are flexing then? up down? front to rear?

Flexing towards the rear. If your familiar with the LSP's, perhaps you are aware of all the flex in the plastic arms that comes on the Sport version. Theres a pic on truggy racers. I'll try and find it.

Ok, I found the pictures of how much the LSP plastic arms flex. I would say the flex is about the same on RPM arms...

No, there is no way an RPM arm flexes this bad. The RPM arms are more than 2 times as thick as the LSP arms, and they are shorter as well.
