Castle Conversion Kits? - 01.31.2011, 01:31 AM

I picked up a Jammin x1 CR buggy and need a conversion kit, I see the Castle conversion is only $25 right now. I was wondering if anyone on here has used their conversion kits, doesn't have to be the Jammin one? I tried searching, but can't seem to find any threads relating to the durability and quality.

Well, I just picked up the 8ight kit. For 25bucks I figured I could not go wrong and I was buying other stuff from CC.

It is pretty basic, but I see nothing wrong with it. The mudguard/battery trays place the packs on their sides, best as I can tell. The al parts are not as thick as rcm parts, but they will work fine. I say it is a great deal at 25 bucks for a basher or occasional racer.

That's what I was hoping to hear, the only track around is actually in someone's back yard, so no real racing. Plenty of bashing, and just wanted to make sure it could take at least a bit of a beating

VooDooCC, at $25 you can't go wrong with the CC kit.

I will also say the RC Monster stuff is friggin awesome though.

For bashing, start with the CC kit and maybe step up to the RCM stuff as you become an addict ;-)

If I could only draw what I see in my head, then afford to build it, and finaly get to play with it...

I will add the battery trays are nice if you plan to run a pair of packs instaed of a single brick. For 25 you can't go wrong...

My son's buggy has one of the CC kits. Works well. Besides, it used to be $99.

I've had rcm stuff in the past and loved it. I'm trying to keep this a little more budget friendly is why I am looking at the cc kit

I bought the jammin one for 30 bucks to convert my truggy to onroad. The battery holders and pinion alone are worth more then 30 bucks if bought anywhere else. The motor mount I'm not crazy about.
