Would it work - 05.16.2007, 02:08 PM

hi guys great forum

just wondered what is the difference between the

BK marine 9920

and

BK 9920

except for the cooling tubes and aluminium heatsink that sticks out the sides.

Just wondered because Chris from fine design sent me one of the BK marine ones instead of a regular one. And as i am in England and bought it in about january, i doubt he would swap it or refund and wondered if it would work in an e-maxx if i removed the tubes.

the marine uses different software. Not suited for slowing down a car. You need car-software on that controller if you want to use the motor-brake.

Thanks serum

what is a motor brake? is it when the Motor is used to slow down the vehicle?
Not totally new to brushless. Done a lot of reading but i haven't owened one, will do soon as i did buy a Quark 125 and 8XL a few days ago for the e-maxx.

I guess that i'll just try to sell it.

You can either use a mechanical brake or a motor brake;

the motor brake will indeed slow the vehicle down by using the motor, a mechanical brake slows it down the traditional nitro way.. :)

Depends; if you are converting a nitro vehicle to brushless, you can use the stock disk brake. You can check your warrior if it uses carsoftware or not.
