Which fegiao did you mean? - 06.03.2007, 12:38 AM

I was told to use the fegiao XL motors for my BL Jammin, but I didn't know which 8xl was meant.

This one:

Or this one:

Thanks a ton.

Either one will work. However, you can use the RCMonster heatsink/clamp to keep the Wanderer's front plate from popping off.

The C model does keep a bit cooler, but it has its own problems. I'd go with the wanderer so that you can use the heatsink clamp to keep it from falling apart.

If you do go with the C, be sure to take some measures to be sure that you don't loose the rear endbell.

That's why the smooth can with the RCM heatsink is probably better; the clamp action of the heatsink holds the whole thing together. However, IIRC, MetalMan had his C can come apart and he used JB Weld to glue it back together and it worked fine.

Can someone explain what IIRC is or what it stands for? I have seen it so many times, but could never figure it out. Sorry for the newbish question.

Thanks.

IIRC = If I Remember Correctly.

Some say "recall" instead of "remember", but it's the same thing.

Do I get the L size or the XL size for the clamp heatsink? Thanks.

Correct. The Feigao 540C 7XL in my Revo started coming apart at the front endbell, so I took it off, put some JB Weld on, and since then haven't had a problem. I've done some racing and jumping, lots of gnarley crashes and such, but it hasn't budged :).

On the other hand, when the front endbell came apart on my Feigao 540C 9L, it completely destroyed the front bearing, and now I can't get the outer race of the bearing out of the front endbell...

Mike has several verions for S, L, and XL - and a couple of colors too. Just look at the dropdown list for that item
