VXL Stampede Speed Testing Video 65.3 mph - 08.26.2007, 10:25 AM

I made this video a couple of weeks ago, so some of you might have seen it already on YouTube, but I thought I'd share it with those of you who haven't seen it yet.

The vid consists of me GPS testing a brand new VXL Stampede with 6 and 7 cell NiMH and 2 and 3 cell lipos.

Tops speed in the vid is 65.3 mph, but I have since hit 68.7 mph.

Good times

He's down by the river ... walking on water.

Yeah, I've been here for a couple of years, but I read significantly more often than I post.

Watching your sand vids is what reminded me that I hadn't yet shared this video with these folks, most of which probably don't frequent the traxxas forums. (Loved the sand vids by the way.)

I've seen a few vids of that rustler/pede vxl in action now, and the thing that surprises me is how stable it is on high speeds. It just keeps track.

Impressive..

I saw that vid a few days ago- very impressive driving to hold such a steady course, and a very comprehensive test. Good batteries do make a world of difference in terms of speed.

Talons.

The truck was actually totally stock (except for an RPM bumper).

I just installed the included 25T pinion and took off.

Crazy, huh? I'm very impressed with it.

I'd like to try that motor on 4s with my MMax controller. That could be interesting. Has anyone tried that yet?

lol. You outta get 4 of those vantec tornado fans and put one on each wheel. Those things spin over 5k rpm and are pretty powerful. A brushed motor ESC and 3s lipo should be good on something that small. :)

Very nice. Impressive power and cool temps. Looks like traxxas has got a winner on their hands. I'm even more impressed to see them have such a good performer first time out of the gate.
