time to build the second e-revo - 06.21.2008, 10:27 PM

hey guys im getting another revo. but this time i want to go 6s lipos. i was thinking of using the 11xl motor. i just need to find a esc that can handle it. i know the mmm can do it but them being on backorder and i want to have it driving when i get it (in a week or 2) im going to be using mech. braking so i would be able to use a plane esc i think. like the hv110. but for that price i would just wait and order a mmm.

what other esc could i use that can handle 6cells?

If you wanted something cheap to tide you over you could go with one of the turnigy esc's, they have a 100A 6s controller for about $60, or a 12s for about $100. I'm personally not a fan of them (im using the hv currently, waiting for the mmm to be re-released) because the low torque start implemented for airplane use makes the throttle a bit unco from 0rpm, which makes it hard to balance it nicely in mid air. I've noticed a lot of people don't seem to mind though and like the controller a fair bit. I've got a HV one for sale if you want ;)
