outrunner powered buggy how to ?

Hi !

If i whant to put a outrunner insted of the centerdiff in a 1/8 buggy were can i buy drive shafts that fits between the motorn an front/rear diffs ? Because i don't think the stock ones will fit :(

You're probably gonna have to fab some up yourself, or have Mike (or whoever) make something.

There's another way to go about this - you're going to need to make a custom shaft for the outrunner as it is, so when you make the shaft, you can make it (or have it made) such that it will be the proper length for the dogbones to fit into the output cups.

Check to see if your front and rear driveshafts are different length. Often you can use two of the front (shorter) shafts. The outrunner will most likely be longer than the ctr diff. For an 1/8 scale buggy you will need a big out runner, most likely 40+mm diameter and 60+mm long. Kv and battery choices will be critical to obtain the desired speed.

I was thinking of using an eflite ,46 outrunner in this buggy ! will it be strong enough ? it's like 45mmx 65mm an it has a 6mm shaft.

Give it a try and let us know? I think the 60 on highre voltage would be better, but who knows. What buggy are you going to use and which batteris, esc, etc.

I,m going to give an inferno 7.5 sports a try
I have 2st 2s 8000mah maxamps packs that i'm going to connect i series to make a 4s pack or maybe one 2s an one 3s for 5s pack? or i might go fore a 6s2p A123 2300mah cell pack (2p=4600mah tot !! )

But i don't know if i choud go for the usual setup with a 8xl motor an 4s lipo packs :)insted because this is my first electric conversion so i might be better of with a proven setup that i know works great ? or what do you guy's think ?
