One more lol - 11.04.2007, 10:25 PM

Ok, asside from the revo

I have one more idea, I want a car that can really jump, and not break

I know my FLM pede was fun, but was too small, and got boring with the MM 5700

So, Im *thinking* of doing all EXT, the longest stuff so it BIG, and doing that for jumping, because I had VERY VERY good luck with my FLM parts, there tough

What would you guys build for a jumping machine? I have the bumpy fields, and then I have the jumping fields, and I have PERFECT jumps for something 2wd, but the short pede was dumb, because it would always spin out, or wheelie, which got old, but I think a EXT pede would be much more stable lol

Opinions? And sorry for another thread, I just have lots of ideas in my head, and the budget to do them

How about a GT2?

Or a 5b?

Or a traxxas sportmaxx?

Why not just use the revo?

IDK, the revo is big, and parts are kinda spendy..

The FLM car is not that much money for the whole kit (about 350 for all of the FLM) Which is only 50 more then hybrid diffs

And the warranty is nice, break a part, just send it in and its real cheap for the replacement...

I like crazyjr's pede

And then from rcbros, I LOVE rcbros pede

What motor would I run on 2s in the pede? Most likely not 3s, because I have my TrakPower, but its possible I could do a 3s FP, but IDK

What should I use? I need all options, traxxas, to NEU, what would be the good choices?

Also, for all the tranny pieces, do they just sell the idler shaft?

I have this so far.

Planetary gear differential with steel ring gear (complete) (fits Bandit, Stampede, Rustler) $15.00
3696 Idler gear, steel (30-tooth) $3.00
4607 Ball bearings (5x11x4mm) (8) $24.00
3793 Input shaft (slipper shaft) / spring pin $3.00
5552 Rebuild kit, slipper clutch (steel disc/ friction pads (3)/ spring/ pin/ 4.0mm NL) $8.00
2554 Screws, 3x6mm cap-head machine (hex drive) (6) $2.50
5556 Slipper pressure plate & hub (aluminum alloy) $8.00
3195 Top drive gear, steel (22-tooth)

What else do I need to make a complete tranny?

EDIT again

I need 2 red heat sinks, depending on the motor, I want to make it more red (given its not a black NEU lol..) I need a more thin heatsink, but with no holes

Do a Savage and use A123 cells. They are practiacally indestructable. Love mine for the heavy beatings. They take a licken and come back for more.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

Thats too much cash, I wanted to do the revo because I have it, but buying the whole car, and then upgrade parts is getting spendy, savvys are cool, but for my budget, a NEU, MGM, the car, some FLM stuff (like chassis) Id want a center diff and motor mount ETC

Gets spendy

There's NO point in having a center diff in a 2wd car, that doesn't even make sense. You'd give all the power to the end with now driveshaft, lol.
