it's almost the same weight as the Lehner 3080... this thing weighs 1.6KG.. I was test spining the can, and the two wires arced and scared the CR*P outta me...

Can you find a prop large enough to take advantage of all the torque that motor will make?

Wow! It is beautiful!

How many set screws hold the endbell to the shaft?

Can we get a shot of the back of that motor?

yeah.. I'll take a picture of the back for you guys to see..... when I get home...

there are 8 screws holding the "x-shaped mount" and 4 screws holding the shaft .. that's what I can remember.. and I think I saw 2 set screw too.. but to make it easier, I'll take a picture.. then maybe you guys could tell me if it's a good quality motor... :)

Thats not a motor, its a god-dman warhead. I wouldnt mind seeing the boats its going into- any idea of estimated speed? I've seen a video of 150mph cats before, and all I could do was reach for the kleenex....

I dont' think this motor would be able to push it that fast.... it took 2x Lehner 3080's to get a big cat to over 100MPH.... and this hull couldn't handle 60MPH anyways... I should've gotten a low profile hull but had a great deal on this hull... you have a link of that 150mph cat.. that would be awesome...

Gah, I was affraid you'd ask for a link. It was quite a while ago, so I cant remember where exactly I was looking when I found it- was just generally browsing lots of boat sites and didnt add anything to favourites; my bad.

Since you are writing about fast cats. This is one of my favorite speed boat movies. Maybe not the fastest one (100mph) by todays standards, but nonetheless impressive.
