My e revo dont have the snap off the line!! - 01.06.2008, 01:10 AM

I got the tekno kit with the following,,

Nememsis, 7Xl maybe i should have gotte 8xl
MMesc, CC bec, which doesnt work now,,
maxamps, 15C 4S 4000 batt.
stock servos steering.. should I go with single servo? dont want to spend $100+ but I need a place to mount my receiver box..
J concept wing
proline body..

my revo dont have the snap off the line start. I put the clutch llike the way tekno decribed it. Can I get rid of the clutch spring? it shifting to 2 very nicely.. also is ther any upgrades I should get besides the bling factor?

take a look on your slipper, maybe it's too loose. But first of all, you have a 7XL, and 15C pack.Hum!!!! Maybe it's the problem. The 7XK will draw alot of current, and don't think that you Maxamps 15C can juice it properly.
Just try a better 20C or 25C pack.

It mat be a "good" battery, but 15C and 4000mAh is only 60A continuous. You should shoot for something like 100-140A continuous for that motor. You didn't mention what gearing you were using - that can make a difference if you lower it a bit. Are you using the two speed, or single speed mod? That can make a large difference as well.

Not unless it was an older one (about 6 months old or more). Besides, 5s on the 7XL would spin that sucker too fast and heat up. 4s is perfect for the 7XL. Hmm, if you are using the two speed tranny, you should have No troubles at all. What is your spur/pinion tooth count?

You could also hook the MM to a PC and check your settings. You could have the start power turned down too low or something. Also, check your radio EPA and/or recalibrate the MM to the radio. The ESC might not be seeing the full range throttle signal.

i hooked up to the PC and set at max. take off. I just went w/ 5S and now its ballastic. It still doesnt wheelie, not even close, but its fast and Now it shifts to 2nd gear. with 4S, it will shift if I hold the wheels up, but when it was running, it wasnt shifting.

Final note, Can I not use the clutch spring inside the clutch?

Tekno specifically states you can run it without the spring. Also, if its not shifting, just adjust it....
