servo problem with mamba max on 3s - 12.12.2007, 08:51 PM

One of my friend run a CRT.5 with mamba max controler and 4600MM motor on 2s li-po. With tis setup, all work very well.
Last week-end, he try a 3s li-po and now, the servo work for about 10 secondes, and stop to work.

What do you think of it??

Thank you!

Could simply be a lemon servo. My first Hitec servo in my CRT.5 on 2s went bad fairly soon, but the second one is still fine.

However, on 3s, the linear regulator in the MM could be working kinda hard and heating up. If you don't have a UBEC to use, try drilling several holes in the MM plastic case to allow air to ventilate. The MM BEC is on the bottom PCB along with the USB jack.
