brushless rusty or 1/8 axis

i allready have a rusty roller thats collecting dust or i can buy a duratrax axis roller for 50 bucks and dont know which one i should start a building.the only thing is that the rusty would have 2 run 9 cell packs.what do u guys think? oh i forgot if i do the rusty ill run an 8s and for the axis a 7or8xl on 18 cells.

I don't say that i don't like powerfull cars, but isn't 18 cells on that buggy a bit too much? 16 will blow it around like a huricane.. With 18 cells, go with an 8XL, but the 7XL on 16 cells is very fast already. With the rusty, you don't need to make a motorplate and batterieholders etc..

I'd say the rustler will definitely be the easier and cheaper of the two, but I'd take the buggy over the rustler for all-around bashing.

Although the Rustlers are known for durability, the 1/8 buggy should be even more durable. They are also a lot of fun!

Yeah, nothing beats 4wd.. Though my 2wd tamiya Frog was a league on its own..

all i have is 9 cell packs that why it would b 18 cells in the buggy and 9 in the rusty

Another consideration would be trying a hotter motor in the buggy and running 9 cells.
I ran 8 cells with my Feigao 8L and MGM 12012 in my Hyper 7 TQ conversion and it was around 30MPH.
I'll be trying the same setup in an OFNA Ultra MBX Pro next.

You'll need to be careful with gearing, but unless you're looking for huge speed you can get away with fewer cells. It is more efficient to use more cells and a lower motor, but either is possible and useable.

yep 90 cells total. i really dont want 2 do both. ill try 2 cut corners if i did both just 2 see how they run. and end up with more headaches.

I would say go with the Axis then. Rustler's are fun when they go fast with brushless (I run one), but 1/8 4wd buggies are in a whole other league.

I would suggest an OFNA Ultra MBX buggyThey are very easy to convert to electric, you can buy a plastic spur for it so all that leaves is the motor plate and mounting the batteries. It would be easy, and alot more fun.
