how do i make this work -
01.05.2008, 02:12 PM
here is what im talking about.. hope this could help me..OK,, I dont know why its not working but here what I did.
Im using 2 2S 4000 to make up 1 4S in series.
I did what was told to me and nothing works now.. I took out the red wire from the esc and put that into channel 2, and bec into channel 3. Now, nothing works. Before when I took out the red wire, I put the esc plug on channel 2, and bec on channel 3 plug, and everthing worked except that i didnt know where to put the brake servo wire. When I got the Bec, the cover showed to put the esc into 2, and the bec to 3 w/o any ommission of the red wire in channel 2. When I look into CC website, it shows to take out the red wire in the ESC plug.. Now im confused.. here are the pics..
any help is appreicated.. thanks,

What exactly are you trying to make work? Pictures are nice, but sometimes more words helps too.
From what I can tell, it looks like you are trying to figure out how to wire in a UBEC?

OK you use a Futaba radio, have you reverse trottle on your chanel 2 (in your Tx programation)??
Go in your Tx programmation and at the option -trottle REV- put it to ON.

Did you connect the bec to the esc power leads? If you're still stumped do you have a rx pack you cann throw in and try that instead of the BEC?

If you don't have Rx pack, try to pwer your Rx with 4AA cells in series.
Just b4 to change trottle reverse position, remove all the BEC, reput the red wire in the ESC connctore, put it in chanel 2, and put your stering servo in chanel 1, plug a 2s li-po, NOT A 4S, but just a 2s, and try it like that just to see if your trottle input and stering will respond.
If you don't have trottle, reverse it in the Tx.
After that, if all is OK, re-install you ESC plug with red wire remove in chanel 2, plug a reciever pack in the BATT chanel, plug your 4s li-po and see if all seem OK. If all is OK, you probably have a bad CCBEC.

ok, I plugged in the external batt. pack, but I didnt install the esc into the receiver. I wasnt sure if I should take the red wire out or leave it in. Steering work, along with the brake. so, is my bec a dud? I dont know what to do anymore.. thanks,,

You want to leave the red wire out when you use the Rx pack or the BEC. If you do in fact have it hooked up right then you may have a messed up BEC.

I finally got it to work!!!!!!!!!
Out of all things, it was my receiver. I tried everyting i was told and i just changed the receiver and voila, it cured all the prob.
I was using a PCM receiver so I dont know if that had anything to do with it. mabye it doesnt work on PCM or my receiver is damaged. I switched to regular FM receiver and all works now.. Use mech,. brake, turned off the brake on the motor etc. Now I just hope my 5S experiment would work. so far its holding up.. Thanks for all your advise..
