Anodizing Services on the cheap for RCM customers

Hey guys, I recently had my eCRT and all other R/C gear stolen, so I am on a fundraising campaign. I have Aluminum anodizing capabilities and am offering my service to RCM customers in an effort to get a new truggy by summertime. I can do just about any color, including clearcoat. The parts come out with a good tough surface and are fully sealed. cost is per run, so gang up with friends' parts and we can save $. I can also hardcoat (type III), but Hardcoating is limited to 6061 and 7075 Aluminum parts only, no coloring, and only on small parts (diff cups, ect). Hardcoating takes a lot of voltage :( so I have size limits.

it depends on the size of the parts. Also, you can't mix different Al alloys in the same run. One run would be around 70$ plus shpping. A single run could do about 4 to 6 shock towers or so, about 10 diff cups, etc. It's driven by surface area, not mass. Present what parts you have, and we can figure the best way to run them.

6061 when hardocated comes out grayish bronze.
7075 comes out gold (very nice gold too).
The hardocating will increase your part size slightly, may or may not an issue.

Type II anodizing colors are as intense and colorfull as you see anywhere.

Man that sucks. I'm guessing you can't do large things? Wouldn't mind some anodized rims for my CR125.

Its cool. I wouldn't mind having some things anodized, but it would be stuff from various places, so the grade of aluminum would be unknown. Why does it have to be all 6061, 7075, etc?

Actually, it doesn't have to be 6061 or 7075. Those are two most common alloys you'll find in R/C and I assumed it'd be one of those. I can do other Al as well. Some cheap Al and die cast Al has too much smut and will not anodize. Basically, If it's machined, it will anodize well. But different alloys anodize at different rates so if I mixed them one could get over cooked or vice versa. I can run mixed parts for you but you won't have consistent results between them and I feel better knowing what I am dealing with to get professional results....
I am trying myself to decide what my color scheme will be on my next conversion. going to be unique for sure, yet look factory!

Yea, I understand. I was just wondering why a run needed to be all one grade, instead of mixing and matching, but I understand why now.

Aww...sorry to hear that. And I thought I had it bad frying an MM multiple times while running it totally in spec (3S).
