i ordered the Fastlane Stampede/Rustler Super Extended Chassis Kit with the extended a-arms, what else do i need? cvd's and dog bones?
would the stock parts fit okay? i have rpm's front and rear bearing carriers, heavy duty chamer link, and front wide bumper. will it be easy for a beginner like me to transfer the parts to the new chassis? i've had my stampede for a month now...
I cant advise on the length of dogbones you will require, that depends on how much the arms are extended by- stock items should be able to extend enough, otherwise 3.3spec driveshafts could be fettled to work I bet.
All the stock parts will fit just fine, the FLM chassis is designed to be an upgrade to the stock item so all the components should switch over without any issues. I would say use the exploded diagrams on the Traxxas site as a guide for how to make switchover- should be fairly straightforward in that respect.
i just put together a kit for my brother not too long ago. we haven't ran it yet because his esc is messing up though. the stock sliders will work, and the kit comes with new links. i couldn't really get it all figured out though and the camber is off some. seems like the steering is too short and the links on the rear are too long. the ones in the kit are 4 equal length ones, and 2 shorter ones for the front links. i think some people use jato links on the extended kit with success.
