RCM Heat Sink/Motor Clamp - 02.26.2008, 02:16 PM

Anyone have a couple of pictures of the RCM heat sink installed on a motor? The attachments to the sticky about it are missing.

What size would the Neu 1515 need?

The RCM is for 540 can motors only - mainly feigao for head and to stop the end bells dropping off - a Neu does not need one - just get an RCM endcap for dust...

Here's an XL one on a 9XL Fiegao. I'm not sure about putting it on a Neu though. I don't know if the Dia. is the same for the smooth cans but I think they are. If they are then the L size with some longer screws would fit because the XL Fiegao's are longer than the 1515 Neu's and the XL heatsink goes right to the end of the Neu. I'll check on the can Dia.

Well, I'm finding that the Neu's are 1.56" dia for the smooth can, but I'm also finding that the finned ones are the same? Is that right? I thought they were a little bigger. Either way it's too beg for the heatsink clamp. But the Neu's can lose their endbells, I've seen it happen twice, on the rear endbell, 2 different motors.
