Can you read this? Dyslexic reading matterial - 02.05.2008, 11:59 PM

For some of you wondering what its like for us who are dyslexic to read try reading this. If your dyslexic you will have no problem reading this. One of my co-workers got this and asked me to read it.

“Don't think about using spell check.

fi yuo cna raed tihs, yuo hvae a sgtrane mnid too. Cna yuo raed tihs? Olny 55 plepoe out of 100 can.

i cdnuolt blveiee taht I cluod aulaclty uesdnatnrd waht I was rdanieg. The phaonmneal pweor of the hmuan mnid, aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it dseno't mtaetr in waht oerdr the ltteres in a wrod are, the olny iproamtnt tihng is taht the frsit and lsat ltteer be in the rghi t pclae. I didn’t see the problem at first. I had to study it then I saw the miss spelled words.

I can read it just as well, if not better than normal. I got important "iproamtnt" mixed with prominent though, but they use almost the same letters so.. blech!

The only word that slowed me down was "sgtrane". The rest of it I could read at normal speed.

I read it probably as fast as I normally read.

I can also read it normally. Although a little slower at times, I went smoothly through the whole thing. Maybe all people into rc's are dyslexic.... thats what it seems like at the moment.

There was something I read about this type of thing a while back where the human brain can fairly easily read jumbled words at a decent speed if the first and last letters are in the right place, and all the letters exist (no letters skipped).

Everyone can read these things, it doesnt have anything to do with dyslexia.

I had to look at this word twice (phaonmneal) but other than that no problems and I'm only using half of a brain.
