My (official) crt.5 build - 01.07.2009, 11:02 PM

So today when i got home i happened to find a nice little package sitting on my front porch... i wonder what it is...

The box it was in:

Whats in the box:

Everything all laid out:

So i got: 2 bodys, 2 sets of wheels and tires, bag of a-arms and other mis. parts, 5mm to 1/8" bore reducer with a mod1 12t pinion, and another little bag of goodies. Should be getting my vxl and my other two orders in soon. (hopefully)

If you can afford Mike's extended chassis kit, I highly recommend it....it makes a world of difference in handling.

Best of luck w/the truck, you will love it....I have 2.

The extended chassis is def not affordable right now. blew most of the little bit of christmas money i had. only have about $110 in the bank. Parents wont allow me to go any lower than $100 in my account.

Few updates: Got everything hooked up and ready to go. Dont have my 3s in yet but i managed to hook up my 2s. Held it down with the fanciest zipties i could find. Took it out for a test run in the rain. Not the brightest idea but i had to run this thing one way or another. Ill get pictures up here in a few minutes.

Truck drives great. Only downfall is how soft the suspension is. I dont want it real stiff but it definitely needs to be stiffer than what it is now. It bottoms out from like a 5" drop. Stiffer springs and heavier weight will fix that no problem though. Sorry for the blurry pictures by the way. Somethings screwed up with my camera.

Update: Bought a Rhino 3s2p 4000mah 25c the other day. I have to say... the difference between 2s and 3s is CRAZY. I went from going about ~25 on 2s to around ~40 on 3s. Im running a 13t pinion and the factory spur. Im really liking the VXL now. It may hit LVC every once in a while for no reason but I still like it. Ill post up some pictures i have of the battery here in a few. I dont have any pictures of it in the truck yet but im planning for a good little bashing day tomorrow so i should have some pictures for you guys.
