Zippy FM lipos not fiting Erevo compartments - 04.12.2009, 11:19 AM

Got some zippy FlightMax 3s 5K 20c lipos fri. Hobbyity says the lipos dimensions are "Dimensions: 144x50x25mm" and the measurements for the erevo battery compartments are 150x51x30 (if you don't remove the 10mm foam at the one end of the compartment). Th actual measurements for the pack are 142.61x51x24.15. If you do the math that should leave 7mm length and 5.5mm or so for the heigth. However I can't seem to get the compartment door to close all the way, the front latch will latch, but where the connector has to come out won't even close all the way, anybody have any suggestionsshort of getting different lipos, or dremeling out that area of the door?

IDK, but I do know HC can't measure for sh1t. I've ordered a number of lipos to find they are quite a bit off from what they list as. Forget returning them to HK.

that's how i came across my zippy lipos. Dan, the owner of Kersahw Designs bought a pair of the same packs you got only 25c and they didn't fit. he sold them to me for the same price he got them for, minus the crazy shipping costs.

They say a good mechanic only needs 2 tools - WD40 & Duct tape. If it moves, and its not supposed to, duct tape. If it doesn't move, and its supposed to, WD40.
