1. has ne 1 tried rd logics diff cups, how r they and is there any modification needed like shimming?
2. the integy ones on this site r they ne good and do they need and modification as well?
3. will the rd logics diff cup fit the diff housing on this site and vice versa diff cups here fit rd logic diff dousing?
4. revo stock diffs last or get upgrades to have them on hand cause downtime sucks

Ill just say, the stock revo diffs do take noticable beetings, im running 16 cells (ib4200) on a 10l, ive tooken hard stops, hard wheelies, hard jumps and the diffs are still perfect, they can handle the power, trust me!

i've got rd logics cups and housings on order. once i get them i'll let everyone know what i think!

thnx for the info keep em coming. just starting a revo project barely got the parts. need all the brushless ideas and tips.

Sorry to hijack the thread a little, but I got the Nova-racing diff cups, but they are a hair bigger around than the stockers and therefore rub on the casing. Do the Al diff casings (no particular brand) have a little more room inside? If not, I'll have to contact Nova-racing and ask them why they made them too big to fit and find out what will work. :032:

I use alu cups on both my BL revos, one has alu housings too. Not sure about the brand anymore to tell you the truth. Have different brands, but one cups are 3racing, probably.
I can tell you this, they are okay, work fine and all, but since they are still 2 spider diffs, the spider-shaft eats his way into the alu something wicked. It takes some time, true, but after 1 year of running this small shaft was the very devil to remove.
Just a thought. Would still buy them again, though. To bridge the time until someone comes up with a proper 8th scale diff conversion.

Yeah, my stock diffs have been holding up OK (knocks on wood), but I was hoping the more rigid cups would keep the spider gears from skipping like it might in a relatively less rigid stock cup. So, the spider gear "axles" eat away into to Al... even 7075 Al? Oh well, it looks like I spent $40 on diff cups for nothing. In hindsight, I could've bought two new stock diffs for just about that price on eBay. Argg.

Anyone want a couple 7075 Al Nova-racing diff cups? Hmmph.

so even with upgrades the diffs are prone to be damaged either way?

It's not that bad, boys. It takes a long time to happen... I would say half as long as with any 4 spider alu diff. This is a common thing and happens with all alu diff cups. Imagine the whole force of the motor is pressing on this small shaft...

Let's just hope we'll get a 8th scale diff conversion soon!

Just remembered what brand cups I have in my "better" BL revo. They are nice FLM cups with modified ringgears, got them as some kind of early prototypes. Don't know if they are available.

I saw them somewhere, i think it was at rcbros site, i cant wait till bulkless, than HB diffs, here i come!

The RDL cups work fine. So do the Integy cups and cases. I have used them both and they hold up great. As Dafni said, it is worthwhile to upgrade to these. It will take quite a while to wear away the aluminum(longer to wear this away than the stock diffs may last under high power). IMO, the money wasn't wasted. :)

Cool, now if they only fit in the cases!
