First off, no pics yet, sorry! But, it won't take long because I'm already done the build, prototype anyway. Remaking some parts and strengthening others still to be done.
A basic overview of how I went about it-
Took apart my Revo to rob its motor (9XL), speed control (MM), esc mount, battery (TrueRC 4S1P 5000), battery tray, and the Elektri-clutch. Yeah, that's right, it has a clutch.
I also use a RCM Revo motor mount putting it behind the rx box. I cut down the mount so it would sit lower on the chassis. I also flipped the center diff and cut out another slot to fit the spur. The brake servo is now part way in the rx box (had to make room for the motor) and is a push/pull setup keeping the adjustable bias. The MM is behind the battery across from the motor. I'm running the 18T clutchbell out of my Revo as well, seemed to work pretty well up and down my alley, no wheelies though, but it didnt slouch either, just grabbed and went. With a smaller bell wheelies would be possible but right now this feels awesome and will probably do better on the track.

Pretty cool... I would like to see how that drives. And it would be nice to have the brakes, so you can take the same line/corner just like the nitros. It's got to be a different feel that the normal direct drive/electric brake setups.

Sweet,
Is the brake servo full size or a mini?

I don't really remember what electric brakes feel like anymore since I haven't used them for years

That's a full size servo, hitec 645MG. It looks a little small because part of it is hidden by the Rx box.

Hey Matt - I just now found this thread. I didn't know you had a buggy too. Are you racing tonight? Club racing out at Barona. I'll be running my revo and might also put my e-Jammin CR out there.

Well the buggy is apart right now, had to rebuild the Revo. I don't have enough money to run 2 cars yet, I just wanted to try it out and see what it was like. I also have to tap some 4mm holes in the motor mount and slot the chassis, but preferably I'll order some 6061-T6 and 7075-T6 plate from onlinemetals and use the college's metalshop to make my own chassis, the current one is like swiss cheese!
As far as racing tonight, I'll have to talk to the wife and see what she says, I'll do my best convincing and hopefully make it out there. What time does it start and ussually end?
