What is the purpose of the FOC? Is there any benefit for us that don't race?
How do I know what size wheel and tire to buy?
Thanks for the help!

I wouldn't use Al for the arms because they just transfer the stress to other, harder-to-replace items. RPM arms flex to absorb impacts, yet don't break. And they dye well if you want different colors.
Knuckles are different. You can use Al or the RPM ones because you
don't want flex here. The problem I've had with stock knuckles is the pillow balls pop out sometimes, and when that happens, you need new knuckles (even though they may appear fine). The RPM knuckles are a bit pricey IMO, but I got a special deal on mine. Otherwise, I probably would have went with Al ones.
The FOC eliminates rotating mass, weight, and tranny complexity. You don't "need" it, but it's nice to have IMO.
I use EMaxx size wheels/tires. Some types of rims will require adaptors depending on what you get, but the stock Revo rims and any EMaxx rim will work fine as-is. Tires depends on whether you are onroad, dirt, sand, grass, rocks, etc.
