New guy here...check out my E-Revo :) - 02.08.2008, 03:45 PM

Well Ive been into real RC for over a year now. For most of the time I had a rustler and finally about 4 months ago I got an E-Maxx. While the E-Maxx was great, I could not bear with all the parts that were breaking so I made an E-Revo out of it. (only after having the e-maxx for a month! lol) And now I am a MUCH happier camper. :)

Right now its not running but on monday it will have titans in it. I just found out that the newer mamba escs will run with 14 cells as long as they have the new firmware installed. Hearing that finalized my brushless dissension I'll be getting a Feiago XL and the new E-Maxx tranny sometime before summer.

Tell me what you think

this is only the 2nd body Ive painted (the orange is actually metal flake) I was surprised how good I did!

Just remembered to ask, what speeds should I see with a Feiago 7XL and a Feiago 8XL on 12 and 14 cells?

How much more torque will the Fieago 8XL have that the 7XL?

Thanks!

you did a very good job on that conversion! now to BL it!

i would say go with the 8xl and not the 7. i havent heard too many good things about the 7. lots of overheating issues

love the way the rims and the body match!

after running a 7xl in a variey of vehicles, and not having any overheating issues, I can only assume that most of the heat is either 1 of 2 things. Either these motors are branded as hot due to improper gearing, or poor battery choice. My 1/8 buggy ran fine, as does my terror conversion, and the slipperential revo is good too. I even have the terror geared too high, more than 45mph, and the motor does not get over 150f, body on.

The 8xl will require taller gearing for the same speed. No shocks there, just making a statement. I actually have a hacker 7xl coming for the slipper revo, we will see if the better quality motor will run cooler. I can only imagine the power, as a l can hacker seems to put out considerably more power than a l can feigao, and run cooler.
