BL conversions? - 02.24.2008, 12:51 AM

i ahve my e-revo sitting and waiting for its bl system(has evx and 600's with 14 cells) which i think is going to be the turnigy sentinel 100A esc with a 9xl and old emaxx trans single speed on 14 cells.

but i also have an after shock that i am tired of having as a nitro because of the crappy losi engine. it runs fine and tunes great only that i think there is something wrong with the block casting because there are imperfections on the head mating surface causing nitro to shoot out of it no matter what i do to it.

so i want to convert my AFter shock to BL and was wondering waht motor to get? i was wondering if the sentinel was a good esc for it too? i dont want to spend mega bucks on these trucks because i just bash with them. and a speed of 35mph is fine 40mph is my maxx i want to get as i am looking more at torque to get these big trucks moving in the sand as well. also anyone reccomend another budget priced esc beside the sentinel with some good stats? thanks again

The turnigy may work ok on either truck as long as you use mechanical brakes. The 9XL should also be fine for the aftershock if you plan on using 14 cells.

i suggest while you're ordering your esc, pick up a kb45xl. that'll move her. keep it effecient by getting a low kv motor and running higher voltage. if not that kb will pull some amps.

A MM should work fine with the e-revo. Just be sure to use a separate bec with it.

Hobby City sells the KB45 motors. They have a 6mm shaft and a larger bolt pattern for mounting, so a customised mount or mounting adaptor would be required.
