Possible Mini MGT3.0 Conversion/Build - 02.24.2008, 10:09 PM

I am looking into getting the MGT 3.0 because how promising it looks. Looks as if it can hold up to the power of brushless pretty easily. If I do end up getting it I willing be looking into getting a hacker c50maxx and possibly a MMM or a MM, not sure yet... But if all goes planned Ill probably use a FlightPower 3200mah 5s 30-60c with it. I am thinking if I should go for the e-maxx/e-savage tranny to use inplace of the stock tranny. This will not happen till around mid april to late april so its aways off... Till then Ill be looking for upgrades for it to make it industructable or somewere near that point.

Sounds like a plan! If you want, I could sell you a trannyless MGT never used except for a single break in run (discovered I hate nitro after that, lol) for 150 with RPM A arms in the front. Save you some money by just upgrading that!

Im thinking if I should do direct drive like my warhead project or if I should go for the hacker c50maxx. I really want a ton of power but dont want to overdue it to a point of were parts start to break that their are no upgrades for such as diffs/bevels/driveshafts...

I think direct drive may be a little much for the weight and tire size. You'd have to gear super high (in terms of final drive) for it, simply because your getting full torque every time. Use a center diff or slipper, jmo though.

Thats another thing I was concidering. I was looking at a cebter diff from a buggy I could use with the hacker instead of a heavy/space consuming 2sp tranny. Thanks for the reminder supra.
