Revo slipper gears - 03.06.2008, 02:51 PM

I got everything set up to run the revo slipper as I have heard can be done, got my 5mm rotor and pinions from Novak but the largest (40T) revo spur gear is to small. Where can I find larger Mod1 Spur gears that will mate with the revo slipper? Do I have to resort to 32P gears?

The trouble with the Novak motors is they need to be geared down a ton, which means a large spur and tiny pinion- I use 70/12 (32p). That 40tooth MOD1 gear is the same size/equivelant of a 50tooth 32p gear.... you see the problem. My suggestion is to either hunt down some larger compatible MOD1 gears on towerhobbies or somewhere which will work with the Revo type slipper, or switch to the new Emaxx 3905 spurs that are 32p and will work perfectly with the revo slipper; that ofcourse means you will have to buy new 32p 5mm bore pinions.....

Looks like I'll be switching to a 32P set up. Where can I get 32P 5mm bore pinions besides rc monster? They're sold out and $7 S&H is an awful lot for a pinion gear. Looking for 17T or 16T 32P 5mm bore
