Anyone dealt with an XTM monster MMT??

I am thinking about picking one of those trucks up and going twin brushless on it. Has anyone messed with of them? Are they pretty tough trucks and is their enough room on the chassis for lipos?

Why twin brushless? Please don't tell me it's a twin VXL. One big motor is better than two smaller motors.

I've heard people say that the XTM Mammoth breaks easily, but maybe the MMT is tougher. I don't know.

No I want to go twin 6XL's or 7XL's.

The MMT... think XTM Mammoth (original), but beefier. Since I work at Hobby People, I see these more often than most. The truck doesn't seem capable of hard bashing like the Revo and Savage are, but it appears to handle pretty well for its size. Unless you're near a Hobby People store, I wouldn't reccommend one just because of parts support.

i've seen some videos of them, and (apparently) everything is fairly strong except for the wheels. i've seen them using nemesis wheels and tires, and personally, i think they look great on there.

I have several 9920's and the batt's are TrueRC's 5K mah.

How much voltage on the lipos? Are you planning on using two 4s packs, one for each motor?

I plan on using 2 5S packs. One on each motor.....6XL's more then likely.

When running two motors together on the same spur, it's best to run batteries in parallel before the voltage gets to the ESC. This is to make sure that both motors get the SAME voltage going to them. Otherwise, if you simply hook up each pack to an ESC, the motors could be getting different voltages which would cause them to work against each other.

In general though, dual BL isn't the way to go. You can get a single, more powerful motor and end up with a more efficient setup that weighs less, and only requires one ESC. Also, dual 6XLs aren't ideal, if you do go dual IMO, especially on 5s. If your mind cannot be changed on the dual motor idea, then get 9XLs at least.

I'm thinking twin 7XL's. I run a single 7XL now on 6S on one of my emaxx's and it does awesome.

On the emaxx I'm running a 56/24 combo with 5.5" tires/wheel combo. Its the newer 3905 emaxx.

I have an XTM stadium truck, and unless you are in Southern Cal, finding parts can be a challenge.
