Anybody know where the best place is to buy the FlexTek titaniun a-arms?
Can you get them Mike?
Anyone heard of any issues with those yet?

They work pretty good as far as I heard. Even running them w/ cvd's isn't a problem, unless you crash hard, but that is the same with aluminum arm's.

rcbros uses them.. they are good.
(and nice) petty they don't have got a turnbuckle less design..

I believe Flextek said they now sell with the larger distrubutors. Theres about 4 large ones out there. Lets hope Mike's has them lol.

I see you have the stock steering blocks, the Integy aluminum steering blocks should fit on those arms shouldnt they?

Wow, those are some sleek arms.....but why Ti? I mean, from what I've heard, RPM ones are best for racing and bashing anyway, are lighter than the metal ones, they're cheaper, and RPM will replace them if they bust.....am I missing something here? :W:

Yes dabid you are right, RPM does make some really good a-arms.
That is actually what I am running right now.
The links that KYLL_E-MAXX posted above will also give you some good insight on them, the reveiw that Beat Your Truck did was a really good one. They say that weight wise, they are about the same as the RPMs and have a similar warranty as the RPMs.
The only one that I am going to have to agree with you on is the price, yes very expensive. But they look soooo much better than the RPMs! Just darn right cool looking. :D (IMO)

I would guess the real advantage over RPM's would be the reduction of bump steer.
Compared w/ aluminum arms the titanium has more flex, so they should be able to absorb most arm bending impacts.
Perhaps they're the best of both worlds.

RPM doesn't like cvd's. If the arm's are bent to much in, like in a high speed corner or jump, and your running cvd's, it could bent the cvd. I've had that happen and switched to racerx, the arm's are lighter then rpm and are very strong, the knuckles are a bit heavy but that doesn't hurt. It's expensive yes, but it look's and handles way better then rpm.

Okay, that sounds like a more definitive answer, but I think if I was doing it I'd still go with RPM stuff, because of the cost factor.

On the maxx I've only had persistent trouble w/ the front lower arms (bulkheads are another topic)...you have to do something outstanding to crack the rears (upper and lower).
As for bending CVD's (MIP) in a big impact, I haven't seen that yet. I run stock arms on all four corners. This weekend I was runnin' 30+ on the back stretch, around a corner, and off a tabletop...right into a vertical steel post (its there to hold up the meshing which prevents cars from flying into the stands).
Busted lower and upper drivers side arms and steering drag link. Needless to say I was quite pleased at the minimal damage...and hope that's a result of the "break points" I'm leaving on the truck.
If the Flextek can handle that w/o passing on enough force to break the harder to replace components, bulkheads, skidplates, and chassis parts...then w00t. Though if the Flextek arms themselves broke...that'd be an $80+ hit to replace upper and lower.
I'm curious about the RPM's and how they (and other components) will wear over time. I would not consider RPM's a good solution if using them simply means breaking other stuff. My son has a pair on the front of his maxx...so we'll see how it goes over time.

Yes you can run basically any knuckle. I've just been to cheap to do so. If i get knew knuckles it will most likely be a set of RPM knuckles.
