assembled diffs

does any one know where i can order some good allready assembled diffs for my emaxx 3906. my mm and 8xl trashed the stock diffs . thanks

You could always upgrade to 1/8 diffs and not have to worry about it again. I up graded my Robinson Racing diffs in my t-maxx to buggy diffs. It is a more expensive way to go because you will need new diffs and bulkheads, but in the long run it will save you money and bench time...here's what I used

I haven't seen anyone offereing new, assembled and shimmed, ready to run diffs. Even if you go with stronger 1/8th diffs, they still need to be shimmed to fit. I thinks its even more critical with 1/8ths than stock to get shimmed properly.

If you can find a good set of used UE 6 or 8 spyder diffs, those would be rtr and prob outlast your Emaxx.

Assembling diffs is not that hard actually. If you went with the Hot Bodies, those are the easiest diffs I have put together....The UE's are now even not that hard. The hardest part about the UE's IMO is shimming the bevel gear to the ring gear. Usually though, depending on the cases you use, it takes approx 3 of the thin washers that are included with the UE diffs to shim them. The other gears come with shims that should be about exact fit to shim.

Other than that, diffs are fun to build, one of my favorites. The thing I hate most are shocks!!!

Diffs aren't bad to build as long as it's not a ball diff out of a 1/18 scale! The Maxx/REVO diffs are cake, the hard part is getting them in and out IMO

find someone parting out the new 3905 emaxx on ebay and get the difs from there. I don't think I have heard about anyone blowing the new difs yet. They look to be very much improved over the old difs. Would probably be your cheapest option for getting bullet proof difs. But I cant swear that they are a direct drop in for the 3906 eMaxx. I looks like they should be, but someone here can probably confirm.

Here $22 per dif and it says they are a direct drop in for all Maxx models.

I know what you mean by the 1/18 scale ball diffs....I would spend a lot of time assembling diffs and keeping them in my tool box, I would eventually use them, they took a lot of patience and a good set of tweezers... I had a 3s RC18
