10xl on a phoenix-80 amp

10xl on a phoenix-80 amp - 05.21.2008, 09:24 PM

hey guys i wanted to build a flm savage. and i was goign to use the 10xl motor on 6 cells. the phoenix 80amp esc can use 6 cells max. im going to be using mech. braking on it. so i was just wondering would the phoenix 80 work on it.

it will work but you are not leaving youself very much headroom in case of amp spikes

Go with a MMM. then you can have the good car startup, and a more versatile esc. Not much price difference. And you get a castle link free (20 dollar value - order NOW!)

i already have a castle link. i got like 3 of them lol.

i can get the phoenix 80 for like 99.99 thats why i was wondering if it would work.
