anyone try running 10 nimh cells in series on their MMM? -

that would total up to 24 volts and the mmm can handle 25.2volts. only reason im thinking of doing this is cus after running my 4s lipos, instead of charging them for 2 hours, i can convert my nimh cells to 10 cell packs since i have two 7 cell packs, and two 6 cell packs. i havent tried running my 7xl/mmm combo with the 6 cells yet, but im sure its pretty slow. so instead of having two sets of slow power batteries...why not make one decent 10 cell.
what do you guys think? any suggestions or ideas or comments?
a 7xl on 24v sweet, make sure and video tape it !! 57k rpm is nothing, Feigaos love rpm make sure to gear it really high too. on the downside its going to take as long as the lipos to charge up a set of 10 cell nimh for 1/4 the runtime.
lol thats why i love forums...great minds when its simple answers too.. i guess i ddint even think all those factors lol. yea imma stick to them 6 and 7 cells and my lipos.
thanks guys
It'd be very heavy, and you risk blowing something on the MMM...20 cells would have a much higher voltage off the charger, which could blow the 28V TVS in there (as well as possibly other components during a braking voltage spike). 26V max is really the hard limit for the MMM, from what Patrick said. Sorry man.
