That sucks. The damaged cell is toast. You could take it apart and make another pack out of it. What lipo is it? Specs?

It's a MA 2s 8000HV. I have another one so I could make a 3s but i'm not so sure about my soldering skills

What else sucks is I just got my first BL set up today... MMM & 9xl in an e-maxx. It had more speed than I need right now with 4s so maybe 3s would be better

It has 4 cells if it is an 8000 2s. I could make a 4000 3s out of it for you, as long as the other cells are ok? Let me know.

Thanks, I may take you up on that

It's 7.4v so that means 2s2p which = 4cells correct?

What other options do I have using this pack and another one of the same size, age and useage?

Yep it is made up of 4 4000 cells. 2s2p config

You have 7 good cells total, so you could have a bunch of options.

1 8000 3s pack
2 4000 2s packs and a 4000 3s pack
1 8000 2s pack and a 4000 3s pack
1 7s 4000 pack
1 4s 4000 pack and 1 3s 4000 pack
1 2s 4000 pack and 1 5s 4000 pack

Basically you have 7 good cells between the 2 packs, and you could configure them however you want.

Wow! I thought I was in trouble when that happened to my NiMH pack! Whatever you decide to do, be happy that your truck is still around to play with. If that cell had shorted and caught fire the truck would be a pile of carbon. Not to mention any of the other obvious safety issues.
