just order cc bec and need help

just order cc bec and need help - 06.06.2008, 07:31 PM

hello I just order from mike some parts and cc bec :)

I have fasst futaba 2.4 with this Hobbico CS-170 Std Digital Ultra Torq 2BB TG Servo U and 2 fans from novak
What should Output Voltage I use with this setup?
4.8v or 9v or I have to use default setting that come with the bec

It comes set at 5v IIRC. I would set it no higher than 6v (typical value for a 5 cell receiver packs). Anything higher runs the risk of damaging your servos/receiver.

set @ 6-6.5 volts and program before soldering to the Esc to battery leads

I will program it at 6v then solder it to my deans :)

Yeah check if you can actually program it first.. I've bought 4 of these and 2 of them have been faulty out of the packet - can't program them, castle link program just spits out a bunch of errors, I've tried everything. First one was actually my bros, and castle sent him a brand newwie no questions.. I'm still waiting to hear about the second one. It'll cost me more to send it back to them than to buy a brand new one...

I had a problem with one and called CC they sent me a new BEC and they included a pre paid envelope to send back the defective one

It's been over a week now.. probably closer to two, still haven't heard back from them which is a little odd. I shot off another email though, hopefully they'll get this one.

I hope mike send me worked and tested one because I'm from kuwait and the ship take long time (first go to my box in NY then come here to kuwait)
anyway I have bad look all the time but thanks god every time :) and thanks all for your reply

just got my parts then connect ccbec to my pc its works and set it at 6v Solder it then run my mamba max on 16 cell its great :) my servo and fan run faster than before
