Align 600XL motors? - 06.15.2008, 07:35 PM

Are they any good?

http://search.ebay.com/search/search...0xl&category0=

There about 100-120 bucks, they look pretty nice, and have a internal fan, which is kind of cool

Any opinions on them? Better/worse then feigao motors?

Thanks

I have one and it worked well in my maxx. I am favoring my medusa though and will sell the 600xl. I would venture to say it is better than the feigao motors as I didn't have heat issues with it. The sound is cool too with the built in fan, it kind of has a turbine note to it.

^ +1. They have crazy torque running on 4s. Rated for 6s continuously.

I have run the 600l and the 600xl on 5 and 6s. I prefer the medusa. Heli guys routinely replace them with neu motors. I would buy a medusa over the align, same price. Better performance than the align, which tends to spool up slower than the medusa.

I have the 60mm can on 6s in my 10lb maxx. I have been running it for a week and am pleased so far. It has much more power than the align.

Last I ran at 15 minutes ESC 125-130 and motor 165-170 ambient 98-102 with 6s on the 1500kv motor. Gearing 20/68 but I will drop to 18/68 do to the high outside temps.
