this might sound silly, but will doing a standing burnout hurt my brushless motor?

as in spinning the tires till they get hot with the rusty facing a curb?

the reason i ask is i'm trying to find a good way to heat up my tires for a little better traction on the street.

I used to just hold the vehicle off the ground a bit and give it some gas to warm the tires up. I figured as long as you are not going full throttle you will be fine. You may overrev the motor or throw a tire if you do it full tilt.

I would think it would heat up the electronics more since there is no air flow to help cool them

I think snellemin uses a mixture of honey and water to give better grip to his drag tires. It might be worth hitting him up for advice as this would be one of his specialties.

wd-40 your tires then heat em up, my dad and i drag race and it softens the rubber and cleans them at the same time.

i usually just hold the front bumper with my foot and goose the throttle till the tires are spining.
