Looks cool. But why do they need to convert it to a single speed? Id just run the RCM speed pinion adapter and leave the 2 speed to keep the current lower on acceleration.
Not sure about those low capacity battery packs either.
I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...
IDK what kind of run time there shooting for, but im sure that would make a 5-10 mins race... It would be dumb, but hey, its another way/form of BL racing, and if it gets people in I dont care lol

The problem I see is with the current draw. They are shown as 20C cells. At even 3100mAh, that's probably below what the motor is going to see a fair bit of the time under race conditions.
I am curious how the ESC will hold up. Looks cool, but impractical with the battery size. Seems to me many of these manufacturers aren't really talking to the innovators to see what really works.
Yeah, 4000 mah is the lowest, even still you couldnt make much runtime for longer races, usually a race for a 8th scale onroad is a hour, going from that to not even 10 mins is no fun!
I spoke with a little bird and that little bird said, "Late July or mid August you will receive something from us". All I know if the normal controllers are up to version 2.0 and the 1/8 scale one will soon be tested if the manufacturer doesn't let me down .
