Well I figure that Ill have around $250 at the end of next week sometime and I am about to make a list for my Cen Matrix TR Arena FRE truggy. Ive decided that Im gonna put the purchase of buying a neu motor on hold yet again. Remember this setup is for racing. Heres what I had in mind.
ESC- Modded MM "Already installed" Possibly a MMM
Motor- Align 600xl "Positive this is what I want"
Lipo- Flightpower 3200mah 5s 30-60c "Will be getting 5s 5000mah TP or FP soon"
Cap Board- (8) 330uf 50v caps. "For cooling"
BEC- CC BEC
Servo- Hitec 5645mg Digital Ultra Torque "Already installed"
Radio- Futaba 3pm FM "Already have"
I would like to know what other upgrades would you reccomend for this? I plan to run long 10-15min mains. What gearing would be optimal? Thanks
I just cleaned her up today and all that mud and dirt are off the cvd's, chassis, towers and cambers. Ill see if I can take a few more pics later today.
Yes, I've heard the same. The 40 series are typically wider and heavier than most other tire/wheel combos. I think the big push now from most folks is to go to LPR style tires/wheels.
thats what it says on the manual.but i think its wrong coz when i put it on the speed calculator,it says ill go 5mph.i already ran it wit a neu and it went at least 40mph.
No the Artena uses 13/38 difs. Thr RTR Buggy uses 9/28 and the FRE Buggy uses 13/38 also. CEN uses some wierd ratios and different all over the board.
I personally would upgrade the difs with the Hotbodies truggy difs. 10/43 and then change the center spur to a 46T. The stock 66T forces you to push the battery way off to the side just because of how big the spur diameter is. Use the Cen buggy center spur.
Also, a must do upgrade is the upper arm of the servo saver. the stock plastic ones break easilly. The CNC red is the solution. I have one sitting here new in the package if you are interested. I'll give you a deal on it LMK. I bought it for a CEN I had and then sold it before installing it. My other 2 cens were already upgraded so it sat in my parts bin for the last year.
I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...
