My crt.5 - 08.04.2008, 02:29 PM

Thanks to Entjoles I now own a brushless crt.5, but of course had to do some mods of my own. I added Crt front shocks on back, Revo hard anodized shocks on the front, still need the correct springs. I polished the chassis and all the aluminum and then added carbon fiber covering to the bottom with Motech skid plates.

Your truck looks awesome with the carbon fiber and polished chassis. Just such nice work. Almost too nice to even run.

Looks great, I just put one together a few weeks ago. I can make one suggestion to you though, save up for a better motor! Feigao might not be to bad on the littlr crt.5 but I'm very happy with my Medusa especially for the extra $30 it cost me. Mine has only gotten to 125-130*F after 2 straight 6000mah packs normally about 115-120 after a pack. My Feigao 8xl that I had was constantly above 180* no matter how I geared it. Otherwise the carbon fiber and polished chassis looks awesome!!!

Revonut,

Which Medusa are you running? I assume it's 2S with the 6000mah packs? How about gearing? What's the speed like?

I want to upgrade my e-crt.5 to a MM & Medusa combo so I get get my GTB 6.5 back in my 1/10 race vehicle.

Thanks, Scott

yes 2s is correct! Medusa 36-50-4800 with stock tires I run 46/19 and with 1/10 scale slash tires 46/15 gearing. Speeds are in the mid to upper 30's and everything stays cool

That's the combo I was thinking of running, but the batts I have are Maxamp 2S 4200. They are only rated to 84 amps and the motor is rated at 97 amps. I'm not sure how that will work out?

I was also thinking of new batts 3S and the 36-50-3300 motor to get pretty much the same max rpm, but with less amps.

The only thing I have broke on mine was one front lower a-arm and one servo saver. I broke both parts at the same time, but I guess I have an excuse because I was going full speed (about 40 to 45mph) and hit a rock stuck in the ground. I didn't see the rock because it was covered in dust from all the other trucks running... So you can't really expect nothing to break at that speed hitting a stationary object. But overall, I have had some pretty bad tumbles and crashes and it seems to be holding up great. The only thing I'd mention is that one turnbuckle ball end pops off sometimes in crashes, but I just pop it back on and its good as new. Rarely ever happens though.

I like it alot !!! Truck looks clean in more ways than one.

Are those the 30series ProLine Wabash style wheels? And if so, which version? I know they can be specific. It would just be 4 of the same on the CRT.5 I guess. Nitro rear rustler's maybe?
