BL buggy mock-up etc. - 10.21.2005, 01:56 AM

Hi,

Seems that I am sinking deeper into this brushless thing. Everything I see, I want to convert to brushless. Here is a mock-up of a sacker pro buggy acquired locally. I will use mech. brake. & BK warrior 9920 esc.

You got that from Mr Construstor didn't you?

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

That buggy looks a bit like the Ofna 9.5 that I own, just I did a different conversion.

Hi crazyjr,

Yes, I bought the kit from Mr. Constructor. Very light. I hope it is durable though.

Hi Dabid,

I saw your buggy in the magazine. It's you right? Thanks for putting brushless into the mainstream. If you have pics of your conversion. Please do share.

Regards,
Joe Ling

Well, the pics I have aren't all too much more special than the ones in the magazine, and that car is torn down right now awaiting some Twin Force battery trays to replace the cheesy AE cups.

Hi nbcaznmaster,

I live in Miri, on the island of Borneo, the opposite side to Kuala Lumpur which is in Peninsula Malaysia.:D

Hi Serum,

The conversion has no center diff, just a spur on a shaft. Mr. constructor is working on another version with a slipper clutch (maybe similar to the 1/10th electric buggy - guessing here). I am going to buy the slipper from him too.

Regards,
Joe Ling

ask him to make a centerdiff! it would be more gentle on the drivetrain, and the driveability would be also better.

Yeah, this wheelbase begs for a centerdiff!
