Any new buggies/trucks out there for Fall 2008 - 08.12.2008, 04:37 PM

It doesn't feel like there has been a lot of new models released this year amoung the top manufacturers.

A few things by Traxxas, new 1/8 buggy by Hot Bodies and a few updates on some other models.

Has anyone seen anything really "new" come out of 2008, or know of some new releases we may see this fall?

Seems like 2007 was a much more interesting year for new releases.

OK - replying to my own thread here.......

The Caster Racing Fusion Ex-1 is interesting but it's not as interesting as a custom built BL conversion. I read somewhere that they will be making a truggy version as well.

I do like their design with the dual battery trays - looks like the buggy will have nice centerline CG and side-to-side balance.

$849 is really a lot of money. That's $250 more than the Xray 808 buggy. Insane!

Unfortunately it is a sweet looking buggy.

You got a link for the Mugen buggy? I had heard that a few new truggies and buggies would be released come the early fall.

I agree w/you Vintage...that's a BIT TOO MUCH for a buggy IMO........ For the price they want for a new one, I could have bought 2 mbx-5 when they were on sale...

1. MBX-6 T8 1900KV, RX8 ON 4S
2. MBX-5T 1520, MMM ON 5S
3. MBX-5 ONROAD CONVERSION 1515, MMM ON 5S
4. MRX-3 ON ROAD CONVERSION 1512, MMM ON 6S
5. TEN T 2650 T8, MMP ON 3S

I like the brake setup on the Hyper 9. I could be convinced to try mech brakes with that buggy.

The TRF 801x looks even better than the 5t or the 8ight-t. Really looks like a solid build.
