i'm getting ready to solder these on my 1515/2.5d but the hole in the plug is alot bigger than the gauge wire on the motor....just fill the gap with solder?
Best way to do it is by using a piece of wood. Drill 6.5mm holes on the the piece of wood, place the 6.5mm plugs into the holes. This will allow you to keep the gun on the plugs to allow the sloder to fully melt and flow into the plugs. Once the solder is in the hole, insert the wire and cool it down.

Yea the block of wood trick works good but right now I just have a pair of pliers with a rubber band around the handles to hold the plugs, then I set the wire in the hole and start pouring in the solder...of course having a really good solder station helps big time I have the hako 936 that goes up to 900deg in a flash.
