Need to find a lipo charger -
09.03.2008, 08:31 AM
Had a friend on the hook yesterday and thought I was finally going to sale the Raze St. He was even starting to load some stuff in his truck. Don't know how it happened but next I know he's buying an old emaxx instead. So I showed him the difference between Nihm and lipo. So he's got two TrueRc 2s 8000 coming. He was in a little bit of shock about the initial investment of an electric. So now I need to hook him up with a decent charger, balancer, and LVC. Any tips on an easy to use charger that could do 8amp and has it own ps for around 100? May as well ask for a supermodel that loves RC, has her own lingere store, baits her own hook, and only want a sexual relationship with no string attached. Speaking english isn't nescessary kust cuz she know what I want all the time. Back to reality.
Only one I am familiar with is the SB989. I know it got it's own ps and has plenty of amps. As he was walking out I asked him How much? He said he had $100 left. Going to have to break the bad news. $150 charge, 20 LVC, 25 Balancer. The look on his face priceless.

Charger? -
09.03.2008, 08:40 AM
As you stated the SB989 is one of the best for the price. There are others out there like the 0606IDuo which can charge two batteries at once and has built in balancers. Sounds like he is jumping in with both feet on this adventure. Another one hooked???

Thanks for the input Jerry. I agree about the sb989. Got one for him today. Another one hooked I'll give him maybe 2 weeks before he's asking for a brushless setup.

Thanks Scott. I'll give him my manual. I also found an Apache to give him. Those are some decent guest rcs you got there. Do you have a problem getting the guests to leave?

Sounds good.
The guest r/c's are currently under repair/construction.
I'm in the works of building a track in the backyard so right now it's hard to get the guest to come over, nobody wants to get there hands dirty lol

LOL That's funny. Had the same problem with Petey Memorial Raceway out back when it was started. It's more of an orv park then a track. I need more room, already taken over as much City property I can get away with, but I know what you mean. You enjoying making the track? I spent all my time out there last year. Hotter then hell during the days so I'd be out there at midnight shoveling and stamping down the jumps. Got it surrounded with some halogens and a street light and few others. Got any pics of the progress your making?
