Sway bars for our MTs?? - 11.11.2005, 05:50 AM

Guys, how about this? I never seen those anti sway bars on a Maxx or Revo. Mind you, I never really paid attention until I got a 8th scale buggy.

I think a MT would also benefit from those stabilizers. And I could also imagine it's do-able on a Revo. The question is just if you can get the geometry right on these long arms.

Has there been something like this? And what do you racer guys think about this idea?

Hey Dafni. I used a home made sway bar on my E-maxx when i was racing(it's in pieces now awaiting my attention). I know New Era has a sway bar kit for the E/T-maxx and RC Trix has a mechanical linkage type stabilizer kit for T/E-maxx, those are the only ones i am aware of in aftermarket.

for the Revo, I am only aware of the ones on the Traxxas forums done by Tornado racing in the Revo racing thread (you'll have to read deep in the thread to find the pictures). Ironically for you they used MBX5 sway bars

I hope this helps.

For the Maxx -> http://www.fullforcerc.com/sway_bars.htm

They definately keep the body roll to a minimum. But as w/ most sway bars you lose a bit of independent suspension travel.

On my Maxx they kept that front wheel down under hard acceleration in the corner.
